The “North Carolina SAR Advisory Council” was chartered on February 14, 1995 and consists of various emergency service organizations across the state. Our mission is to foster communications statewide and to provide and coordinate personnel, equipment, education and training for the effective delivery of Search and Rescue in the state of North Carolina.

Fundamentals of Search and Rescue
FUNSAR Coastal Carolina Search Team and Pitt Community College will be offering the FUNSAR course on March 5,6,7 and March 12,13,14. For those who are not familiar with the course, it is a two weekend course (47hrs) and will prepare the student to pass the SAR Tech II exam.
The class will be conducted at the Bell Arthur Fire Dept. in Pitt County. More Here
